Professor Roman Głowacki

Doctor habilitus, Founder and President of the Centre for Management Training, director of the MBA Programmes, Professor in the Faculty of Management, The University of Warsaw, distinguished marketing scholar, alumnus of Harvard Business School.
He has been known above all for his work devoted to marketing. He was one of the first to introduce marketing in higher education in Poland and the founder of one of the first marketing chairs in the country.
His research also explores key issues of the market economy, namely market structure and mechanism, competition, economic stimuli and prices.
A number of his publications have been awarded first prizes, including most prestigious ones, such as the Oscar Lange Award, the Prize of the Minister of Higher Education and the Award of the Polish Economic Society. He has for many years been a visiting professor at numerous American and European business/management schools with successful MBA Programmes. As a result, he has extensive experience in organizing MBA programmes.
He has worked tirelessly to promote managerial education in Poland and has been able to provide much appreciated support to academics wishing to upgrade their professional qualifications, especially within the Central and Eastern European Teachers Program, which was set up by the Harvard Business School in cooperation with other prestigious business/management schools in the USA, namely MIT, Kellogg, Wharton and Stanford

Professor Blair Kolasa

PhD, J.D., Former Vice Rector of the School of Business - National Louis University (Poland), chairman of the steering committee for CMT’s MBA programmes, holder of two doctorates conferred by American universities and an honorary doctorate conferred by The University of Warsaw. He has been dean of two schools of business in the United States and a member of the board of trustees of two colleges. He has also been involved in AACSB for over 40 years and has been a member of five of its committees. He has served on a Presidential Commission and on the Advisory Board to the U.S. Department of Commerce and has also been a member of a delegation to the OECD. “A significant feature of the Centre for Management Training’s M.B.A. program is that it is one of the few European graduate business organizations that adhere to the long-established standards set up by Business Administration programs awarding the M.B.A. degree. The influence of leaders in the field like the Harvard Business School is clearly evident in their approach. The number of leading academics in the field who have been associated with the program, both teaching and assisting in the structuring of the curriculum, is impressive. The resulting twoyear program shows the influence of a long relationship with Harvard professors and administrators and is rare in the depth and breadth of courses offered. While the international standards set by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) requires only 15-18 months of instruction to be accredited, Harvard and C.M.T. have full two-year programs which allow for more extensive study and training. It is the high quality of the lecturers and administrators as well as of the curriculum which sets C.M.T. apart”.

Professor Diana Phillips

PhD, Head of the Department of International Business Communication, Faculty of Applied Economics (AACSB), University of Antwerp. An outstanding university professor with an international reputation and visiting professor at CMT since 1993.
“There is today a wide range of options available to Warsaw-based business professionals who intend to enrol for a postgraduate course of study, but the two-year MBA programme offered by the Centre for Management Training since 1993 remains without any doubt one of the very best. It is not surprising that it continues to attract excellent participants who have already made their mark in their professional environment and who are on track for a leadership position. Year after year I have been impressed by the level of the candidates selected - experienced and interesting people from a wide range of industries and professions who learn a lot not only from their lecturers but also from each other. Personally, I feel that this is one of the main strengths of the Centre’s MBA programme: its very open and positive atmosphere encourages participants to think creatively and to have their ideas critically assessed and fine-tuned by both fellow students and lecturers. Today’s complex business world requires innovative approaches to the way in which business professionals are trained for leadership. The Centre for Management Training has successfully created an environment in which future business leaders can be coached and prepared for the challenges which lie ahead”.

Professor V.H. Manek Kirpalani PhD

Director of CIBER College of Business (AACSB), Bloomsburg University, Pennsylvania. Distinguished Professor Emeritus John Molson School of Business (AACSB), Concordia University, Montreal; Visiting Distinguished Professor Aalto University School of Economics (AACSB), Helsinki, visiting professor at CMT and the Faculty of Management, Warsaw University. “The Centre for Management Training (CMT) was started in 1991 and is academically associated with the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Management. CMT and its International MBA program are highly regarded both in Europe and elsewhere. CMT has been associated with the Harvard Business School since its inception. CMT’s International MBA has been ranked in the first three among Poland’s master’s level business programs for the past 20 years. The credit for this effort goes primarily to Professor Roman Glowacki, President of CMT. I have known Professor Glowacki for more than 20 years and have participated in CMT’s International MBA program for many years. It is a first-class program that draws senior management participants from the region and other parts of the world. My experience has been that the quality of the participants is very high. I state this with knowledge of executive MBA programs in many parts of the world. I wish the program well in its future, and encourage everybody who reads / hears about it, to try and participate in it. They will gain immensely”.

Professor Freddy Van den Spiegel

PhD, internationally recognized specialist in international financial markets and management; Professor of the Free University of Brussels; main economist of BNP Paribas Fortis; visiting professor at CMT and the Faculty of Management, Warsaw University.
“Teaching at CMT is always a pleasant experience. The students are motivated and the interaction during the lectures is quite exciting. As they have different backgrounds, the students approach the study materials from different angles, and this is very enriching for the discussions. A good experience is also to meet the students some years later: most of them have very interesting jobs by then, and they look back on the program as an important step in their professional lives.”
